So today we actually had a break in the rain and some sunshine. So I got to get some things done around the house, I started working on my moms e46 M3, she's been complaining of rattling noises coming from the motor she's been in and out of shops multiple times in the past few months. So I pulled the valve cover off to check the VANOS out and after spending 2 hours removing coilpacks, strut bar, plastic covers I finally got to do the inspection and what do you know the vanos bolts are shearing themselves in half, time for a tear down. I will post up tomorrow with a diy teardown.
